Poems: Ten as One

10 of those years as one, you and I,
More than half our adult lives, intertwined,
Much fruit but, little time to pause, and remind
Ourselves of the precious moments, now behind:

You’re striving to be fruitful, faithful and kind,
My finding my way to lead and provide,
Shared triumphs and tragedies, that each have tied,
Us closer to God, who never failed to abide.

So happy tenth anniversary, dearest wife,
I look forward to us journeying the rest of our lives,
Building with all this past decade has provided,
Until the last day, then in Heaven united.
