Book Notes: One To One by Sophie De Witt

A must for anyone about to get involved with or already involved in one-to-one mettings or leading a small group. Alyssa and I have read it and are going through it together before we embark on leading a nine20 group with Nottingham University Christian Union.

It's short with huge text so you get through it faster than you realise. This book had been recommended to me by almost a dozen different people over the past year so you can take my recommending of it in addition to about 5 ministers and some of the best youth workers I have ever known as well as a number of other good friends. It is a valuable handbook which conveys its ideas through a substantial mixture of challenging life experiences, cultural research, biblical perspective and expert advice in just over 150 pages.

The books good flow and short story inserts along with its structured advice makes it an easy book to read and refer back to at later times. The questions at the end of each chapter definitely deserve your time, either personally or with a friend, to reflect on; they will challenge you and help ingrain the core aspects of the chapter.
