In 1866 in Kimberley South Africa , as the story goes, a fairly large mountain stood; and on that mountain was a young boy. Whilst playing he stumbles across a rock that glistened in the sun. He took it back to his village and not too long after 50 000 miners dug the hole with picks and shovels.
Now it's the largest man-made hole on the planet, but how did it come about? It wasn't out of their strengths, there were no heavy mining machines or large companies. It was the motivation that came from the desire for diamonds. And where previously a large mountain stood there now stands the largest man-made hole.
If this desire for diamonds fueled such motivation and created these results within a community not fit for the task, how much more should the desire for Christ motivate us to serve and encourage us of what God is able to do through us.
